About Me
Hi, I’m Michal Klein and welcome to my practice.
I am a registered psychologist practising in Malvern East and I’m passionate about helping others rebuild their lives following trauma and painful life experiences.
The first step towards change can at times be incredibly confronting.
I know how confusing and lonely this journey can be; how it can feel like you’re the only one feeling this way. I also know that we can overcome life’s challenges with the right guidance and support.
I work with adults across the age span, with a passion for supporting younger adults (18-30). My professional experiences include drug and alcohol settings, university counselling services, community health and private practice.
Individuals I work with:
Are you:
Constantly trying to meet everyone else’s needs
Struggling to understand and communicate your emotions effectively
Wondering whether you’re in a toxic relationship and needing perspective
Burdened by the impact of childhood trauma, abuse and neglect
Struggling to manage feelings of guilt and shame
Questioning your sense of gender or sexuality
Between the ages 18-35 and trying to figure out your goals, priorities, values
If any of these descriptions apply to you, we may be a particularly good team to work together on your therapy.
MAIN Areas of Speciality:
Intimate Partner Violence and Emotional Abuse
I have completed significant training in these areas. I also regularly seek professional development courses and supervision with experienced mentors.
With my knowledge and expertise, I’ll walk by your side in the journey towards deeper understanding.
Formal qualifications:
In addition to formal study and qualifications, my priority is ongoing training and expansion of my knowledge and skills, in accordance with the Australian Psychologist Code of ethics. Requirements aside, I simply love learning and use every opportunity to read books, attend professional development seminars and research evidence-based literature that help us understand the challenges of life.
