For 1:1 Clinical Supervision: $200 (incl. GST) for early career psychologists, $190 for provisional psychologists for a 50min appointment. Includes follow-up resources, marking and providing assessment feedback where required.
Rebates:
Under the Better Access Medicare scheme, rebates are available for up to 10 sessions under a Mental Health Care Plan, and up to 40 sessions under an Eating Disorder Management Plan, per calendar year.
Your GP or psychiatrist will use a detailed assessment process to determine whether you are eligible for Medicare rebates under a Mental Health Care Plan, or an Eating Disorder Management Plan.
Rebates are also available under the private health insurers’ ‘Extras’ scheme, depending on your health fund and level of cover. You are not permitted to use both private insurance and Medicare rebates for the same appointment.
Appointment Cancellations:
Preparation for your psychology appointments involves time, effort and overhead costs. It can also be challenging to fill appointment spots after last-minute cancellations. Therefore, with the exception of sudden illness or emergency, minimum 24 hours notice is required for cancelled appointments, otherwise fees will apply. You will be asked to sign a cancellation policy prior to commencing therapy.
Key points:
You don’t need a GP referral to make an appointment with me (but it is a requirement if you want to claim the Medicare rebate). You are welcome to contact me directly and pay privately if preferred.
You will need to bring your mental health care plan, or eating disorder management plan, referral letter and medicare card to your first appointment
